Paddling
Rainbow light crackles
Like skeins of fishing net, tangled,
Pulsing round my toes.

The Heart of it
Find the child within,
Never let that go.
Happiness lies at the heart.
Lost
Rabbit hole or looking glass?
It's a mystery
Where I might find me.
Weeping Willows
Willows bend weeping
Caressed by water.
The ducks are squabbling again.
Royal Flush
Royal flush?
Menopausal queen:
Heat haze under Barbour tweed.
Love me
Love me openly
Without agenda
My heart is already yours
Raindrops
Raindrop glockenspiel
Resounding tin, glass, gutter,
Lull me into dreams
Roar
Skip fights digger:
Pre-historic roar
Echoes across the valley

Dragonfly
Dragonfly dive bombs.
A war on smaller species;
Damsel in distress.
Suitcase
Homecoming heartache.
Sand in the suitcase
Make memories last longer.
In the Bay
Boat, engine idling,
Stroked by the ocean,
Purrs like a cat in the sun.
Highland
Heather horizons.
Springy peat beneath my feet,
Lapwings in the sky
Curlew
Goose stepping curlew
Hunting on the shore,
Move on, probe, drill, tug of war.
Lighthouse
Lighthouse horizon:
Blink, blank, blink-blink, blank,
Revealing crested phantoms
Tideline
Wsch school breathing in,
Shusch schww breathing out.
Shells tumbling in the tide.
Patchwork
Drystone wall stitches
Patchwork Countryside'
Fields of lilac green and gold.
Summer time
Floating thistledown,
Dandelion clocks
Marking secret summer time.
Tumble
Washing machine clothes
Tumble together
So over familiar
Wind Chime
Summer's lazy days.
A song, gently on the breeze;
Wind chime lullaby.
Petrichor
Summer thunderstorms:
Petrichor perfume
Electrifies the senses.
Bumble Bees
Dizzy bumble bees
Dancing your quadrille,
Bring in your golden harvest.
Nightlight
Moon's steady nightlight
Guides us to the dawn.
Promise of new beginnings
Evening
Pink ribboned evening.
Crows Bicker their last and hush.
Moon takes centre stage.
